In general, we do not recommend using wireless headphones (such as Apple AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds, etc.) while using our service, as Bluetooth headphones may perform unsatisfactorily due to the protocols they use.
These headphones can operate in two modes:
“Headphones - STEREO" (uses A2DP, high-quality stereo sound, but the microphone does not work):
A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is designed to transmit a two-channel (stereo) audio stream (e.g., music) over a Bluetooth radio channel to any receiving device (wireless headset or other devices). The bandwidth of the Bluetooth channel is insufficient to transmit a two-channel audio signal of acceptable quality without compression."Headset - HANDS-FREE SOUND" (uses the Hands-Free or Headset profile (HFP/HSP) — monophonic sound, low-quality audio with microphone functionality).
In some operating systems, when connecting Bluetooth headphones, these protocols may appear as two separate audio devices, while in others, they may be represented as a single audio device that automatically switches profiles.
You can also try changing the headphone protocol used by your device in its settings if this option is available (e.g., in Windows, you can manually select which protocol to use in the sound settings, provided your headphones support protocol selection).
Summary
Using such headphones as a full-fledged headset (microphone + audio output) with high-quality sound is not feasible. Therefore, we recommend using a separate external microphone as the default microphone if you want to enjoy high-quality stereo sound through wireless headphones.
