This guide explains how to get, activate, and start using an Autodesk free trial.
Step 1: Sign in to Autodesk
Launch the Autodesk product.
Autodesk Sign In window appears, and a browser window opens with the Autodesk sign-in page.
Click Create account link below and follow the account creation steps.
Step 2: Verify email address
Enter your email, check the "I agree to the Autodesk Terms of use" checkbox.
Autodesk sends a one-time verification code to your email.
Open your email inbox and copy the code.
Return to the browser.
Enter the code in the Enter code field.
Click Next.
Step 3: Complete account details
Fill in all required fields:
First name
Last name
Password (according to the password rules shown)
Submit the form to complete account creation.
You are redirected back to Autodesk and signed in successfully.
Step 4: Start free trial
After signing in, the Autodesk product displays "Let’s get you signed in" pop-up.
Click Get free trial.
Step 5: Choose your Program and trial usage type
On the Free Trial (Step 1 of 2) page, choose the program you are requesting trial account for, and press "Download free trial" button.
Select how you will use the software:
Business / Home Use / Education / File Viewer
Click your selection to continue.
Step 6: Enter user information
On the Your info (Step 2 of 2) page, complete all required fields:
Objective of trial
Industry
Role
Job level
Country and region
ZIP / Postal code
Phone number
Review trial details.
Step 7: Phone verification
On the Phone verification page:
Select your country code
Enter your phone number
Autodesk sends a security code via SMS.
Enter the received code in the Enter the security code field.
Click Verify.
Step 8: Download and install the trial version
After phone verification, the page "Download to start your 30-day trial" appears.
Click Install. You don't have to download and launch the program, since it's already been installed on the VM.
Step 9: Trial activation confirmation
After installation, Autodesk confirms:
"Your [program name] trial has started"
Day 1 of your 30-day trial
You can close the window
Step 10: First launch of the product
Using A-Menu, launch your program.
The Welcome to your trial window appears.
The application shows 30 days left.
The main workspace opens, and the product is ready for use.
Trial duration starts on the first day of activation.
