Do i really need a good internet connection?

Yes, a stable and high-speed internet connection is one of the most important requirements for using any cloud-based service that streams professional software.

Unlike streaming video, where small delays or buffering can go unnoticed, running software in the cloud requires real-time interaction. When you're editing a video, rendering a 3D model, working in CAD, or performing any other demanding task, delays in input or screen updates can directly impact your productivity and user experience.

While cloud computing offers powerful hardware without requiring upgrades to your personal device, it relies heavily on your internet connection. Here's what you need to ensure smooth performance:

Key Internet Requirements:

  • Use a wired Ethernet connection whenever possible, ideally via fiber-optic broadband.

  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure your router supports the 5 GHz band.

  • Avoid using 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, LTE/3G/4G mobile networks, or DSL, as they are more prone to instability and higher latency.

  • Make sure your bandwidth is not being used by other people or devices for downloading, video streaming, large file transfers, etc., during your session.

  • Minimum 10 Mbps for basic usage (e.g., office software)

  • 15 Mbps for standard-quality software streaming (e.g., photo editing)

  • 25 Mbps or more for high-demand applications (e.g., 3D modeling, video rendering)

Keep in Mind:

Even if your device meets the minimum hardware requirements, an overloaded or unstable internet connection can still cause poor performance. The same is true in reverse — even with a strong internet connection, an outdated or underpowered device can limit your experience.

Also, note that the quality of your internet service provider, your geographic location, and the routing of your connection to our data centers can all affect performance.

To Get the Most Out of Our Service:

  • Close all other browser tabs and applications before starting your session.

  • Avoid running any downloads, uploads, or video streams while using the service.

If you're on a laptop without an Ethernet port, consider using a USB or Thunderbolt Ethernet adapter.
